Cancellation and Refund Policy

1. General Policy

At Weight Wise, we strive to provide the highest quality of service to our clients. However, we understand that circumstances may arise that require the cancellation of services or requests for refunds. The following policy outlines the terms and conditions under which cancellations and refunds are processed in compliance with New Zealand consumer laws and refund policies.

2. Non-Refundable Services

2.1 Consultations:

All consultations with our weight loss specialists are non-refundable. Once a consultation appointment is booked and payment is processed, the fee is considered non-refundable, irrespective of whether the consultation is attended or missed.

2.2 Shipping Costs:

All shipping costs associated with the procurement and delivery of medications or other products are non-refundable once the shipping process has commenced. This includes any costs incurred for handling, packaging, and transportation.

2.3 Transactional Fees:

All card and other bank transactional fees are non-refundable. This includes any fees charged by banks or payment processors for the completion of the transaction.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Cancellation of Services:

Clients may cancel their scheduled consultation appointments up to 24 hours before the appointed time. However, as stated above, consultation fees are non-refundable.

3.2 Medication Orders:

Orders for medications or other products can be canceled within 24 hours of placement, provided that the shipping process has not commenced. The cost of our procurement service may be refunded if the procurement service has not commenced, which is defined as any medication(s) ordered having not left our supplier's inventory. If the procurement process has started, no refund will be issued for the procurement service, and refunds will be decided on a case-by-case basis under "exceptional circumstances."

4. Special Circumstances

4.1 Exceptional Cases:

In certain exceptional circumstances, Weight Wise may, at its sole discretion, offer a partial or full refund. These exceptions are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

4.2 Legal Compliance:

This policy is designed to comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. Any rights provided to consumers under these acts that cannot be excluded or modified by law will not be affected by this policy.

5. Process for Requesting Cancellations or Refunds

To request a cancellation or inquire about a refund, clients must contact Weight Wise customer service in writing via email at info@weightwise.co.nz. Verbal refund requests or requests via text message will not be accepted. The request should include the client's name, contact information, and details of the service or order in question.

6. Policy Updates

Weight Wise reserves the right to update or modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes to the policy will be effective immediately upon being posted on our website. Clients are encouraged to review the policy periodically to stay informed of any updates.
